about me
WHAT I DO AND WHO I WORK WITH
I guide individuals and groups through processes of exploration, healing and growth. I am interested in the power we have to work creatively with our lives, expand our awareness, and live from a place of deeper connection and wholeness. I offer personal and leadership coaching and facilitate groups, workshops and nature explorations, in person and online.
The people I work with care about the world and want to bring forth their authentic being and contributions. I support them in discovering more deeply who they are, and in finding inspiration, trust and balance in their work, personal lives and relationships. Since 2015 I have coached leaders, entrepreneurs, artists, researchers and PhD students, journalists and other socially and environmentally engaged people in Norway and internationally. As a coach for Talent Norway since 2017, I work with artists in film, theatre, visual arts, dance, and music.
MY TRAINING AND BACKGROUND
I am a certified coach (CPCC) from the Co-Active Training Institute (CTI), a leader in the field of professional coaching. I hold a Master’s in Social Anthropology from the University of Copenhagen and a Bachelor´s in Arabic from the University of Oslo. I worked for several years as a researcher in the field of international migration and integration.
In my work I also draw on my training and experience from nature-based rites of passage, depth psychology, mythology, storytelling, polarity processing, meditation, dance and somatic practices.
Experience I bring to my work:
Cultural competency from my background in Social Anthropology and working as a researcher. I am trained to question cultural norms, values and practices we often take for granted and to understand social power structures and the significance of class, ethnicity and gender in shaping people´s lives.
Practicing and studying various forms of embodied meditation for the past 25 years and dancing 5Rhythms since 2014.
Studying nature-based rites of passage through The School of Lost Borders, in retreats with Meredith Little on The Practice of Living and Dying, The New Story, and The Four Shields of Relationships. I did The Great Ballcourt Initiation Fast in Death Valley in 2015.
Years of studying Michael Meade´s work on myth, story and community healing rituals. Participating in his in-person retreats Paths of Initiation, Crossing the Threshold, The Soul´s Great Adventure and The Pathless Path.
Training in The Work That Reconnects at Findhorn in 2013, with Joanna Macy and Chris Johnstone + in Theatre of the Oppressed with Hector Aristizábal. Co- facilitating two workshops with Hector in Italy and Norway on ritual theatre and belonging.
Active engagement in global “we-space” and practice communities, including The Evolutionary Collective, We ONEing and WisdomWomen.
I have a multi-cultural, transnational background and life. I grew up in Norway with a Norwegian mother and Moroccan father. I have lived and studied in Seattle, Copenhagen, Marrakech, Rabat and Damascus and currently live in Oslo, Norway.
